Meet Andi

Andi Putt is an Autistic Speech-Language Pathologist, speaker, and creator of @mrsspeechiep. She specializes in Autism evaluations, early identification, and neurodiversity-affirming support for Autistic children and families.

Andi presents internationally for conferences, schools, universities, and organizations on topics including Autism identification, communication, regulation, play, strengths-based support, and affirming therapy practices.

 

Her presentations combine practical strategies, research, real-life examples, and lived experience in a way that is engaging, approachable, and immediately applicable across settings.

From Recognition to Connection: Empowering Autistic Kids with Affirming Support

This training helps professionals move from recognizing Autism traits to providing meaningful, neurodiversity-affirming support. Participants will learn to identify subtle and non-stereotypical presentations, make informed referrals, conduct affirming pragmatic language evaluations, write strengths-based reports, and develop goals that prioritize communication, regulation, autonomy, and authentic connection.

Beyond the Obvious: Recognizing Autism Traits We Often Miss

Autism does not always present in obvious or stereotypical ways. This training explores subtle, masked, and non-stereotypical Autism presentations across children and adolescents, including traits commonly missed in girls and students with lower support needs. Through real-life examples, videos, and practical discussion, participants will learn to recognize patterns that are often misunderstood, minimized, or overlooked in educational and clinical settings.

Redefining Normal: Neurodiversity-Informed Approaches in Communication Therapy

Learn how neurodiversity-informed practices are reshaping communication therapy through strengths-based intervention, affirming language, and meaningful goal writing that supports authentic communication, autonomy, and long-term well-being. Participants will walk away with practical strategies they can immediately apply across therapy and educational settings.

Available as 1-3 hour training

Coaching with Compassion:
A Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach to Early Intervention

Strengthen parent coaching practices by helping families reframe expectations, better understand regulation and communication differences, and move beyond normalization-focused goals. Participants will gain practical strategies that support connection, autonomy, family collaboration, and long-term well-being for neurodivergent children.
